Holly & Pine
As I’m working to finish up on my Christmas market, I took a little break to work on some new ideas for Christmas. I’m a nature lover, so today I’m looking at inspiration from the holly and pine trees in my environment.
Where I live, holly and pine grow really well together. At this time of year, the red berries of the holly trees have begun to show. With snow in the forecast in parts of the U.S., I’ve added some snowflake beads and peppermint candies for a wintery festive look. Mmmmm…perfect for staying inside and sipping hot chocolate! I’m making chain for a beautiful crystal snowflake pendant.
I’m loving the turquoise in my designs with greens and blues, and I’m dreaming of frost on the pines. Can you guess which design is inspired by this idea? I opened the vault for these amazing beads; I used graduated, faceted cut glass and vintage, Japanese lamp-work beads. The sparkly snowmen are perfect topped with frosty trees!
Wishing you delicious peppermint mochas, nutcracker delights, and all the wonder of a festive holiday season! Cheers!
